Buy Now: Dragon Ball Super Review
The Dragon Ball series is one of the best-selling Manga comics’ in the world, the Dragon Ball series shows this. It has even given inspiration for anime series like One Piece and Naruto, two more great series to watch. The Dragon Ball series has been put into three different eras Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super with every series being more entertaining than the last. That doesn’t mean you have to start at Dragon Ball, you can easily start with Dragon Ball Super and really enjoy the show. It’s an easy watch with only 131 episodes, the original Dragon Ball had 153 episodes, and Dragon Ball Z has 291 episodes. This could all sound a bit too much, but with every episode, it just gets better with new characters introduced and the massive battles between good and evil. Dragon Ball Super adds to this with the characters in the series reaching new levels of strength and making the battles even more explosive and more entraining than ever before.
If you’re not sure whether to buy because you don’t know if this is for you there are also films which are not classed as canon to the story, but they can help tell if you’ll enjoy the series or not. If you’re planning on starting with Dragon Ball Super, I would suggest watching the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. The animation isn’t as on point as it is in the Dragon Ball Super series, but the story of the film is close to how Dragon Ball Super starts so you can tell if you would like the series before you watch it. The series is one of the best to get into if you have never watched any anime before because it’s just so easy to watch the story isn’t too complex, so you don’t have to go back to get the story like some other anime series.
Dragon Ball Super follows Goku. He is a Saiyan, a warrior race who love to battle, but Goku and a few others are the only Saiyan survivors after their planet being destroyed. The series starts with a new Villain called Beerus, who is the God of Destruction and one of the strongest beings in the universe. After decades of slumber, he wakes up earlier than expected because of a dream of a Saiyan God. After the early awakening, Beerus and his companion Whis set off to find the Saiyan God so Beerus can fight someone as strong as him. This is only the start of the series.
I don’t want to spoil it all, I’m just going to say that there’s massive universal tournament, some amazing characters and some surprising transformations. Dragon Ball is also known for its massive battles. It even has one of the longest battles in anime history. If that’s not enough to get interested in Dragon Ball Super, I don’t know what will.
